How to add pages to a database and view/edit them in the side peak panel

Updated over a week ago

One of the really great things about databases is that you can add pages to them. This is great for organizing notes, research, ideas, etc. You can also view and edit the pages without leaving the database by opening them up in the side peak panel as shown in the image below.

Important: In order to create pages in a database, you first need to create a field in the database that has the “Resources” field type.

Creating a Page in a Database

  1. Click on an empty cell in a field that has the “Resources” field type or click on the “Add row” button at the bottom of the database.

  2. Type the title of the page you want to create.

  3. Press Enter to confirm the title and create the page.

Adding a Page to a Database by Drag & Drop

You can add pages to a database by dragging them from the home panel, the sidebar, the table of contents of a stack, or even the search popup.

Pro tip: You can also drag pages out of a database and place them anywhere else in the app.

Viewing & Editing a Page in the Side Peak Panel
